Cycling Programmes

ON THE PENINSULA OF TIHANY

During the tour, we will visit the sights of the peninsula on the popular Tihany section of the Balaton cycle path. Passing the lavender fields, you will reach the Inner Lake, where you can climb the rocky formations of the geyser cones and enjoy a wonderful view of the Inner Lake and the peninsula. After a short walk to the centre of the village, you can also discover the history of Tihany (Benedictine Abbey, Calvary, Visszhang Hill).

The hillsides of Balatonfüred-Csopak are one of Hungary's outstanding quality wine regions, where grape and wine production goes back hundreds of years. The Rieslings from Csopak are fruity, distinctive and complex, with delicate flavours.

Balatonfüred is rich in historical sites. On our cycling tour through the streets of the town, you can get a glimpse of the diverse memories of this modern holiday resort. During our trip we will visit the Mór Jókai Memorial House and taste the famous acidulous water of Fíred at the Berzsenyi fountain.
Main attractions: the State Heart Hospital, Vaszary Villa, Anna Grand Hotel, Kossuth Lajos Spring and Drinking Hall, Tagore Promenade.
